On behalf of the Scientific and Organizing Committees, I am pleased to welcome you to the 16th National Physical Chemistry Meeting (16ENQF) and 5th Computational Chemistry Symposium.
Organized by the Physical Chemistry Division of the Portuguese Chemical Society (SPQ), the ENQF has, since its first edition in 1993, been a major vehicle to bring together the national Physical Chemistry community.
The pandemic we have experienced in recent years, forced the two previous Meetings to be held online. Despite the great success of those editions, it is pleasant that we can now return to in-person mode, which is irreplaceable to promote synergies and stimulate scientific discussions.
The participation of students and young researchers is, as usual, strongly encouraged.
Please look at the Scientific Program to get a glimpse of the excellent plenary and invited lectures to be presented. There you can also see that there are spaces available for oral and poster communications, so I encourage everyone to submit an oral/poster presentation to the 16ENQF for consideration.
We very much look forward to seeing you in Lisbon in July 2023.
