Encontram-se abertas já só até ao próximo dia 10 de Fevereiro as inscrições (grátis) e a submissão de abstracts para comunicações orais e em poster ao 8th Latin American Symposium on Coordination and Organometallic Chemistry (SILQCOM8), encontro que é patrocinado entre outros pela SPQ e organizado pela Universitat Jaume I, Castellón, Espanha. O simpósio decorrerá online nos dias 10 e 11 de Março de 2022, sendo as inscrições gratuitas.
Desde a sua primeira edição em Bogotá em 2007, este simpósio tem sido realizado bianualmente na América Latina e apresenta um perfil abertamente internacional. O ambiente descontraído e os locais agradáveis do encontro têm favorecido a troca de informações e ideias para potenciais colaborações científicas. Infelizmente, devido à actual situação pandémica, este evento terá de decorrer online em 2022, tendo um programa científico reduzido a dois dias, mas de elevado nível científico. Os quatro plenaristas convidados são químicos de nível mundial, incluindo nomes como Ben L. Feringa (Prémio Nobel da Química 2016), Angela Casini, John Hartwig e Susannah L. Scott, sendo os restantes oito conferencistas convidados escolhidos entre químicos conceituados dos vários países iberoamericanos participantes. Tal como em edições anteriores, o 8º SILQCOM cobrirá áreas como a Química de Coordenação, Química Organometálica, Química Bioinorgânica, Catálise, Química de Materiais Inorgânicos/Orgânicos e Química Supramolecular. The deadline for (free) registration and abstract submission for oral and poster communications to the 8th Latin American Symposium on Coordination and Organometallic Chemistry (SILQCOM8) is soon on the 10th of February. This symposium is sponsored by the SPQ (among others), being organized by Universitat Jaume I, Castellón, Spain, and will take place online on the 10th and 11th March 2022, with free registration.
Since its first edition in Bogotá in 2007, this symposium has been held biannually in Latin America and has an openly international profile. The relaxed atmosphere and pleasant meeting locations have favored the exchange of information and ideas for potential scientific collaborations. Unfortunately, due to the current pandemic situation, this event will take place online, with a scientific program reduced to two days, but with a high scientific level. The four invited plenary lecturers are world-class chemists, including names such as Ben L. Feringa (Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2016), Angela Casini, John Hartwig and Susannah L. Scott, with the remaining eight invited speakers chosen from recognized chemists from various participating Ibero-American countries. As in previous editions, the 8th SILQCOM will cover areas such as Coordination Chemistry, Organometallic Chemistry, Bioinorganic Chemistry, Catalysis, Chemistry of Inorganic/Organic Materials and Supramolecular Chemistry.
