The European Patent Office is currently recruiting Polymer Engineers

to work as Patent Examiners at its offices in Munich (DE), Berlin (DE) and The Hague (NL) in the fields of:

  • Polycondensates
  • Polyolefins
  • Applications; Absorbent Articles (e.g. diapers and feminine care); Non woven; Paper technology ; Electrophotography; Laminates; Fiber treatment and technology
  • Compositions
  • Additives
  • Coatings
  • Adhesives
  • Inks



Your profile:

  • national of an EPO member state
  • a full university degree in engineering or science
  • good knowledge of organic chemistry, preferably in polymer chemistry
  • good working knowledge of at least two of the EPO official languages (English, French and German) and willingness to learn the third before starting work as an examiner



Work experience in industry is not essential, but would be an advantage
