Jesús Angulo

Jesús Angulo studied chemistry at the University of Seville (Spain). He obtained his doctorate at the Instituto de Investigaciones Químicas (IIQ; CSIC - US, Seville) in 2002, under supervision of Dr. Pedro M. Nieto and performed postdoctoral training with Prof. Thomas Peters at the University of Lübeck (Germany). He joined the Carbohydrate Group of IIQ (Seville) in 2006 as a "Juan de la Cierva" postdoctoral scientist, and since 2008 he works at the Glycosystems Laboratory of the IIQ as a "Ramón y Cajal" senior scientist. His research interests focus on the structural characterization of the molecular recognition of ligands by natural receptors, heavily relying on NMR spectroscopy and Molecular Modeling.
