Welcome

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, I am very pleased to welcome you to this international symposium. Organized by three countries, namely Spain, Japan and Portugal, but open to the scientific community worldwide, this event has a unique scientific program and offers opportunities and challenges for future collaborations in the field.

These Organic Chemistry Symposia started in 1997 and were first organized by Spain and Japan. Since 2006 Portugal is also responsible for their organization. Below we list the meetings held up to the present date:

    3rd SJ-OCS, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, July 6-8 2003 (Chairman: Victor S. Martin)
    4th SPJ-OCS, Santiago de Compostela, September 8-11 2006 (Chairman: Antonio Mouriño)
    5th SPJ-OCS, Osaka, November 6-8 2009 (Chairman: Naoto Chatani)
This prestigious 6th SPJ-OCS is part of the celebration of the centenary of the Portuguese Society of Chemistry (founded on 28 December 1911) and we hope you will enjoy the sharing and exchanging of your expertise in this symposium, held in the beautiful and culturally rich city of Lisbon.
