Meeting venue

The Meeting will take place at Universidade de Lisboa, Faculdade de Ciências (FCUL), located in Campo Grande at the center of Lisbon, starting on the 18th of July and ending on the 20th of July, 2012.

Famous for its old town and traditions, Lisboa is a very attractive city, prosperous in culture, with an unforgettable gastronomy and a temperature in July normally around +25 ºC.

FCUL is easily accessed from Lisbon airport (5 -10 min by taxi, 5 – 10 €). There are also buses (Carris) to the city center which is connected by subway to FCUL (subway Campo Grande followed by 5 min. walk to FCUL). The recommended hotels are located near FCUL or near a subway station.



The Meeting’s sessions will take place in building C3 of FCUL, as well as the Welcome Reception. The poster session will take place at building C-6.

Lunch

Lunches on Thursday 19 and Friday 20 will be served in Building C6 and are included in the registration fee. We kindly ask all participants to present their lunch tickets to the staff.

Network

FCUL will provide a temporary login for the wireless Academic Network (eduroam).

Language

English is the official language of the Symposium.

Voltage

In Portugal the line voltage is 220 V.

Insurance

Participants are responsible for arranging their own health and accident insurance.

Banking

Several banks and ATMs are located within 5 min walking distance from FCUL. Most restaurants and shops will accept credit cards.
