Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro is a world heritage site.
Accept our invitation and come to know the region that the portuguese author Miguel Torga called Wonderful Kingdom (Reino Maravilhoso).
Proposal 1 - Enjoy the Douro River World Heritage
Date: 21/09/2012, Friday
Enjoy this magnificent Cruise, with departure from the Portuguese-Spanish border, of the Douro River, UNESCO World Heritage, enjoying the diverse landscapes and regional products served on-board.
Barca d’Alva/ Régua (DA) Cruise
Program:
08:00 – Departure from Bragança bound for Barca d’Alva.*
09:30 – Passenger boarding at the Barca d’Alva Peer.
10:00 – Beginning of Cruise.
11:45 – Arrival at Pocinho. Passenger landing.
12:00 – Passenger boarding at the Pocinho Peer.
Continuation of the Cruise.
12:15 – Arrival at the Pocinho Dam.
Passage through lock (height 20 metres).
12:30 – Appetizer and lunch service.
14:45 – Arrival at the Valeira Dam.
Passage through lock (height 32 metres).
16.45 – Arrival at Pinhão. Passenger landing.
17:15 – Continuation of Cruise towards Régua.
18:15 – Arrival at Bagaúste Dam.
Passage through lock (height 27 metres).
19:00 – Arrival at Régua. Passenger landing.
19:15 – Return to Bragança.

Proposal 2 - Enjoy the Douro World Heritage landscapes

This program leads you to know some of the best regional products like the almond, so you can later enjoy a beautiful cruise departing from Pocinho, and have lunch on-board along the Douro UNESCO World Heritage that will be unforgettable.
Pocinho/ Régua (DA) Cruise

09:00 – Departure from Bragança bound for Torre de Moncorvo.*
10:00 – Visit to Torre de Moncorvo (church, wine workshop, Regional Product shop with tastings of products.
11:30 – Departure to Pocinho peer.
12:00 – Passenger boarding at the Pocinho Peer.
Continuation of the Cruise.
12:15 – Arrival at the Pocinho Dam.

Proposal 3 – Miranda do Douro: between Mirandese and the International Douro
Date: 20/09/2012, Thursday
"I went to Miranda to see the 'pauliteiros'…"
Visit Miranda do Douro, a land of traditions and know-hows where you may enjoy "Posta à Mirandesa", the "Pauliteiros" dance and the Mirandese speech among many other activities and experiences.
In addition, you may enjoy the regional flora and fauna aboard a Cruise along the waters of the International Douro River.
Program:
09:00 – Departure from Bragança bound for Miranda do Douro.*
10:00 – Arrival at Miranda do Douro.
10:15 – Visit to the Land of Miranda Museum and the Miranda Historic Centre.
Interaction with the 2nd Official Portuguese Language, Mirandese.
12:30 – Lunch at Restaurant to be designated.
14:30 – Visit to the Interpretive Touristic and Environmental Centre.
15:00 – Environmental Cruise to Vale de Águia and back. During the trip, the most important aspects of the fauna, flora and geology of the International Natural Park of the Douro River will be explained.
16:00 – Return to the International Biological Reserve. Didactic exhibition with birds of prey and Port Wine tasting.
17:00 – Return to Bragança.

Proposal 4 – Rio de Onor: between communitarianism and the Spanish border
Date: 20/09/2012, Thursday
Visit to the communitarian village of Rio de Onor, which in addition to being crossed by the international border between Portugal and Spain, shares community values through farmlands, ovens and even herds. Set out in search of the secret of sausage making, the wonder of this region.

10:00 – Visit to the Montesinho Natural Park (localities of Rabal and Baçal).
10:30 – Arrival at Rio de Onor.
Guided tour to the village, with special emphasis on community experiences.

12:30 – Guided tour to the “Bísaro” sausage factory, traditional sausage factory of A. Montesinho.
13:00 – Lunch.
15.00 – Walk.
17:00 – Return to Bragança.
